Staff Opportunities

GSA Central is run entirely by young adults who are experienced in working with GSA related groups and organizations. Therefore we need some members to step up and take responsibilities. Open positions will be noted in the “Open Staff Positions” forum of the “Personal Forums” category. They include the following positions and prerequisites:

• Moderator- Regular Members who delete posts in the Personal Forums that violate site policies. The number of moderators varies by site members size. You must have 50 posts or a global moderator recommendation to apply for this position.
  
• Global Moderator- Moderators who have jurisdiction over almost the entire site. They have the authority to delete regular posts, label users, ban repeat offenders, and recommend users for restricted access. There will be no more then 5 global moderators at a time. You must have 150 posts with a site admin recommendation or have served as a moderator for 3 or more months to apply for this position.
  
• TECH- Members who reply to technical issues with the site. They will talk users through technical issues and make recommendations to the Executive admin for how to make the site run smother. There will be 2 – 3 TECH members at one time. You must be a member for 3 months or longer and have 50 posts.
  
• Resource Manager- Global Moderator who regularly adds and updates all resources on the site. They are responsible for reviewing and approving or denying resource submissions. There will be 2 Resource Managers. You must be a current Global moderator or a moderator for 3 or more months to apply for this position.
  
• Site Admin- Members who ensure that the site is running correctly and without problems from members. They have authority over most of the site and can perform all mainstream actions. There will be 2 Site Admins (Not including Executive Admin) You must have served as a Global Moderator for 5 or more months to apply for this position.
  
• Executive Admin- This is the single member who oversees the entire site. They have entire authority and approve all positions. You must be selected by the previous Executive Admin to take this position.
  

If you qualify for any of the positions described above you may apply for them in the dedicated forum. The application process will run for two weeks, unless stated otherwise, before the position is filled. All positions are open to other prerequisites if needed, they will be noted in the forum.
